Sleigh Flight School is a 3D 3rd person infinite runner style game made for use in the DreamWorks DreamPlace. The game was made to be a part of the overall DreamPlace experience and was meant to be played by children waiting in line to see Santa.
The goal of the game is get to the end of the level as fast as you can. There are 3 levels in the game, each is littered with collectibles and power-ups. Time Freezes temporarily stop the clock while wreaths give the player a short speed boost.
One of the main points of the DreamWorks DreamPlace is to create an experience for the kids that's more like an adventure. We took a similar route by designing the levels to be more cinematic while still offering a level of challenge so that each level felt like it's own adventure.
One of the neat aspects of the game was that once the player completed a level they could go get a physical certificate of their final time to take home.
My responsibilities on this title were to write up the overall game design, level design both on paper and in editor, app flow, wireframes, work in the editor to polish various aspects of the game, and play testing.
Unfortunately there is no link to the actual game due to it's exclusivity to the 2015 DreamWorks DreamPlace event.
